MacKenzie Hamilton

MacKenzie (Mac) Hamilton is the Youth Coordinator for The Aegis Trust, where she manages STAND: The Student-Led Movement to End Mass Atrocities, working with students across the U.S., the U.K., Canada, and France on education and advocacy efforts to mitigate and prevent genocide and mass atrocities. She holds a B.A. in Government and African Studies from Smith College, where she studied the history and politics of the Great Lakes region of Africa. Prior to joining Aegis, Mac worked as a Program Assistant for Global Youth Connect in Rwanda, and interned for the United States House of Representatives. Mac is passionate about connecting domestic and international social justice issues, providing spaces for youth to learn about and collaborate on human rights and peacebuilding issues, and finding entry points for those just beginning their journey into activism. Mac can be reached at mhamilton@standnow.org, and you can learn more about STAND at www.standnow.org.
