Glossopdale Community School: Director of Arts Chris O'Hara has been working to raise awareness of the issues in Rwanda through films, songs and dance. He has also been studyingnews coverage with his Media students to explore the issue of propaganda. Having visited Rwanda with the Aegis Trust in February 2006 and seen Mashirika perform at the Kigali Memorial Centre, he is now raising funds to bring the group to his school. He hopes his students will be able to seeRwanda My Hopeand interact with theMashirika cast.  If you would like to help Chris O Hara make this a reality for his school and community, please email mashirika@aegistrust.org

The Brunts School: Brunts School has been visiting the Holocaust Centre to study the Holocaust for many years. The staff have decided to create a module on Rwanda, and when they heard about Mashirikacoming to the UK, they quickly pulled together resources and made this part of the curriculum. Aegis will support the school in the delivery of the Rwanda module. Students who hadheard the story of Rwandan survivor Beata Uwazaninka-Smith in June 2006, and the presentation of Sam Boarer, Chair of Aegis Student Societies, also rallied to support the Blue Beret Campaign for Darfur.
