aegisstudentsAegis Students, a subsidiary of the Aegis Trust, is an international student-based genocide prevention movement, committed to educating, campaigning and fundraising to end genocide and mass atrocities.

Bringing together youth from around the world, Aegis Students aims to raise awareness about the consequences of divisive ideology and equips young leaders with the skills they need to work towards a future of understanding and peace. Participants are given the information and tools they need to become active global citizens and advocates for genocide prevention. Through programmes such as Discover Rwanda, Aegis Students facilitates dialogue and the exchange of experiences and ideas across borders. It brings together like-minded young leaders from different parts of the world through the common aim of fighting against genocide.

At Aegis Students we are driven by a vision of preparing the youth of today to adequately respond to genocide when they become the decision makers of the future. Through their participation in Aegis Students, young people are able to develop their leadership skills, critical thinking faculties and project management skills. Training tomorrow’s leaders to be advocates for genocide prevention is essential if we are to make the principle of “Never Again” a reality.
