Speakers: Rt. Hon David Cameron MP and Sir Bob Geldof
Speaking at a reception for the Aegis Trust at the Canadian High Commission in London last night, David Cameron, the Leader of the Opposition - who has just returned from a visit to Israel - warned that despite the legacy of the Holocaust, genocide was happening again today in Sudan.
Bob Geldof followed at the podium, condemning European governments and the Arab League for silence and inaction over Darfur, and calling for concerted pressure on the Chinese to use their influence on Sudan to end the crisis. Click here to see Bob Geldof’s comments in full.
