Aegis is motivated by those that have experienced genocide. Their stories are at the heart of the organisation.
Like Anne Marie, left, who was gang raped in the Rwandan genocide and infected with HIV. Her story is told in the Kigali Genocide Memorial and with the help of Aegis she has been able to rebuild her life.
Aegis is focused in 4 key areas:
RWANDA – Aegis runs the Kigali Genocide Memorial, including education programmes and support for widows and orphans of the genocide.
CATCHING WAR CRIMINALS – Aegis builds case files against suspected perpetrators of genocide and crimes against humanity.
ADVOCACY AND INSPIRING YOUNG PEOPLE – Aegis inspires others to change the world in which they live.
CAMPAIGNING - To prevent possible acts of genocide or crimes against humanity.
