Odette's story

Odette's story

We still have little knowledge of what Odette’s surgery may cost in full but are confident that the £50,000 will cover her facial reconstruction and rehabilitation. With any surplus we are going to establish The Odette Fund to support other surviving victims of genocide. In alone there are thousands of cases of survivors suffering long term effects, like Odette. Odette’s case is unusually expensive. In though a little goes along way. We discovered recently that a survivor died of starvation in a village near to Kigali . There are 300 unsupported survivors in the village. We can provide food support for all 300 survivors for as little as £800 a month and give them chance to build their own means of income to sustain themselves. With The Odette Fund, we may be able to help a few more, so please support this cause if you can.
